The Providence Women’s Home first opened its doors in 1994. Since then, women have been showing up at those doors, lost, despondent, and searching for any hope for the future. By the time a woman enters the program, she has typically severed almost every relationship and family tie that might aid her recovery. Because many of the ladies who enter the program are unable to finance their own tuition, Teen Challenge Providence utilizes various means of fundraising to raise the tuition and other costs necessary to sponsor these women.
The jewelry ministry provides a unique opportunity for students to participate in raising money for the home through the creation of a variety of unique and elegant handmade jewelry. The beautiful bracelets and earrings they create are the offered to the public. Our first display was at our annual fundraising banquet in 2009. It was a great success and encouraged us to seek other opportunities for distribution. Currently we have secured locations in eight Simon shopping malls in the regional area as well as branching out into Jewelry Home Parties. These parties may be hosted either in someone’s home or at our Women’s Home where refreshments will be provided as well as some life changing stories shared by our staff and students.
A representative sample of jewelry is available online for a suggested donation amount.
You invite your friends…We do the rest!
Our ladies would love to meet you and show off the beautiful jewelry they have made. Teen Challenge will host your jewelry party at our Women’s Home in Providence for a time filled with miraculous stories of changed lives, an opportunity to meet the staff and students, tour our home, view the handcrafted jewelry, or design and create your own. We provide refreshments and can customize your jewelry party for any occasion.
Please contact us at jewelry@tcprovidence.org or (401)467-2970 for more information.
If you would like to partner with us through a donation or by hosting a jewelry party, it would be of great help as we continue the fight against drug and alcohol abuse by continuing to keep the doors of our program opened.
Remember that your giving helps to change the world one life at a time.
